After our recent closure due to repairs and renovations, we have reopened in a riot of colour to herald in the new season. Bath School of Art and Design Fine Art graduate, Kathryn Stevens' new contemporary canvases show a fluid depth created by this emerging artist's increasing knowledge and understanding of oil paint. Kathryn tests the boundaries and constantly redefines her work to create subtle details within the paintings which become bold statements of colour. Currently based in Cornwall, the influence of its dramatic environment is clear in the notion of landscape in her powerful abstracts.
Complementing and contrasting with these stunning paintings, we are showing new ceramics in Spring colours by Cardiff-based contemporary ceramicists, Sara Moorhouse and Louise Hall.
